Root canal treatment has dramatically evolved with the introduction of new technologies. In this presentation Dr. Pannkuk will emphasize foundational treatment goals and how to critically evaluate currently proposed techniques and materials. A detailed description of endodontic technique will be given from access to obturation and final core placement. An insight to interdisciplinary communication and planning of treatment will be featured with the detailed presentation of case histories and long term recalled patients. Hi resolution photography and video will be shown to describe and explain the most difficult phases of treatment that are often ignored and could lead to long term failures. This session is limited to 25 participants and will be highly interactive. Questions will be taken during the presentation. (Headsets or Chatbox) Participants are invited to present a case history that they treated (submitting digital radiographs, microphotos and documentation in digital format ahead of time) for personal coaching with discussion by the entire group during the Question and Answer portion at the end.

Objectives
The primary goal of this webinar is to provide the participant with a greater understanding of classic principles which are foundations to clinical endodontic treatment success. Other key goals will be as follows:
- An ability to judge the validity of currently promoted techniques
- Understanding and use of new materials and instruments that can improve debridement
- An understanding and appreciation for the complexity of the root canal system
- How to assess ones own outcome so that they can refine and master their own treatment technique

Biography
Dr. Terry Pannkuk, a native of California, graduated from University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in Biology, Georgetown Dental School with a D.D.S., and Boston University with an M.Sc.D. in Endodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, former editor and publisher of The Endodontic Report, former president of the Boston University Endodontic Alumni Association, current reviewer for the Journal of Endodontics (official journal of the American Association of Endodontists), Past President of the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, President and Founder of the Schilder Institute for the Advancement of Endodontics, Editor and Publisher of PDL (Pure Dental Learning), Volunteer Clinical Professor at the University of California at San Francisco, and international lecturer-author of topics relating to clinical endodontics. He lives and practices in Santa Barbara, California.
